Allen told Billboard earlier this month, comments on the ridiculousness of the industry hype battles between female musicians. “When I was putting together this record and coming up with the release date you can see the people at the record company looking at the sheets of who are the other females around [that date coming out with albums] and if it’s a risk going against Rita Ora,” she says. “It’s like, ‘Why?!'”
