Adore her or hate her, we have always and will always cherish Azealia Banks for what she is. A musical hip-hip contemporary genius. Despite her track record and that pesky social media mouth of hers, Azealia has unleashed YET ANOTHER smashing house-tinged single.
Entitled “Anna Wintour”, today (April 6), see’s us closer getting to her long-awaited upcoming album project “Fantasea II: The Second Wave”. The is classic Banks. Its fresh its funky and it’s unlike anything else out there. Like us and all genuine artists, Banks plays out like an underground dance queen. Remeber yall, everything that is commercial was once shunned ridiculed misunderstood until it’s being copied and bandwagon-ed from the same folks who originally place judgment.
Alas, that is the bad of the world. But it takes just a little light to overshadow the darkness. Azealia had the following to say about her nuevo release:
“This song was written to embody the feeling felt when you connect with the universe. I’m so cold, I’m so grown, I’m so real life.” says Banks. Fantasea 2: The Second Wave still has no release date, but judging by the sounds Banks plans on taking this record to the dance floor!
Noteworthy – Our favorite lyrical thesis: “As the valley fills with darkness, shadows chase and run around (I can make them stop for me).”
