The Tulsa, Oklahoma boys have been churning out musique for three decades now. The group had their monster classic hit circa 1997 with the track, “MMMBop”. In case some have amnesia. The lads comprise of Isaac, Taylor, and Zac. Since debuting on the airwaves in the late 1990s, the trio have been producing tune after tune, album after album.
Today they have unleashed thee most inspiring truth-spilling song of 2022 thus far. Entitled “Child At Heart,” this is one all genuine empaths should hear and will adore once absorbed instantly.
Its he first single from the multi-platinum, 3x GRAMMY® Award-nominated pop-rockers. Off their new project, RED GREEN BLUE. Three brothers, three colors.
Each of the members represents a different hue on the LP. Taylor is red, Isaac is green and Zac is blue. Comprised of 15 songs, each brother has five that they’ve completely written solo and co-produced with the legendary behind-the-scenes musical mind Jim Scott (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dixie Chicks, Santana, Rolling Stones, etc.) Each brother is responsible for his part while Jim keeps everything cohesive. “Child at Heart” is written by brother Taylor, the hunky dory of ’em all.
A song like this is right up our alley. For we are living proof of this tune’s structural lyrical thesis. Like a child whos heart is yet to be discouraged by the tribulations of the world. The music video depicts a series of inflicted wounds and tragedies, which leave the character nearly dead. But it’s also really meant to be a metaphor for the pain of life and love and the ultimate redemption of his love rejoining him reinforces the song’s message that we have to remain open and hopeful, despite what life throws at us.

“One of the great thrills of writing a song is the moment of initial conception, where the idea is born. This song was born on a day where I was pondering the many challenges of coming of age and growing up (I have kids from 19- to one-year-old). I was sitting with my youngest two children and felt an overwhelming sense of peace hearing my two-year-old son, Indiana, telling me all the things he hoped to do that day.” Taylor dished in a press release during the videos premiere.
“The message is ultimately about staying hopeful and pure, in spite of the challenges life can bring, and as a songwriter, I love that you hear that message crystal clear from the very first word.” he concluded.
