“AJ (Anne Joy) Li is a menswear designer and photographer graduating from Parsons in May. Her thesis collection is a solution to bicultural confusion; a statement that it is okay to not completely fit into one culture or another but that it is important to choose elements of each in order to create your own version of an identity. Unlike most fabric that ages and become unwanted, denim and heavier textiles historically used in workwear and reimagined in this collection, become more beautiful with time.
