INYIM Media It’s That Thing You Do: It’s The Hot Dog Straw!
“Thomas Edison is considered one of the greatest inventors of all time and I know this for a fact because his name was the first one to pop up when I lazily Googled “Who is the greatest inventor of all time?” So it looks like Thomas Edison has been reincarnated into a Yankee fan. Because at last night’s Yankees vs. Mets game, a fan turned a regular hot dog into a hot dog straw. You know, humanity is responsible for many horrific things, but we’re also capable of producing immense beauty. See: the hot dog straw!
Okay, seriously, sucking yellow liquid out of a wiener hole isn’t my kind of thing (“PRUDE!” – you), but I still have to give it up for the hot dog straw. Twitter user Nicolas Heller happened to be sitting behind a Yankee fan when the man performed a strawdectomy on a hot dog by sticking a plastic straw through it to create a hole. Then he licked the hot dog juice off of the plastic straw before sticking his newly created masterpiece into his beer. This is the bro version of me drinking a movie theater soda with a Red Vines straw. Somewhere, Guy Fieri is crying pure donkey sauce tears over the beautiful sight of a hot dog straw in a beer:

No word yet if that was really a staged viral marketing video for Wienerschnitzel’s new wienerstraw.
Of course, as The Takeout points out, some people think the hot dog straw is Lucifer’s dick and should be sent to the “deepest depths of hell.” Even the Mets got in on making fun of the hot dog straw.
Last game in the only stadium where people use hot dogs as straws. #LGM

That tweet was brought to you by: JEALOUSY! Because the Mets wish they had a fan who created an image that is so American that it should be the new American flag.
