Toro Y Moi continues his promotional adventures following our coverage of last week’s Seth Myers and Ellen appearances with a visit to NPR’s Tiny Desk series! Strutting tunes cuts from his latest effort “Outer Peace”, Chaz Bear spectacularly shook rattled and rolled a more yellow mellow subdued versions of his record’s songs.
Incorporating a more laid-back dance pop vibration, the band also demonstrated their acoustic potentials remixing their usually synth-forward sonics. Such jams included, “Laws of the Universe,” “New House,” and current singles “Freelance”, and the lead number “Ordinary Pleasure”.
Chaz Bear also spilled the deets announcing a spring and summer tour with six shows in the U.S including festival outings at Outside Lands and Afropunk Brooklyn. He’ll take his musical inspirations around Asia, Mexico, and Europe. Dig out to purchase tickets on Toro y Moi’s website.
