“‘Old clothes command new owners‘ and are repurposed and reworked, for Martine Rose‘s Spring/Summer 2017 collection, giving them a new beauty and identity. Different pieces are combined in unorthodox ways, with clothing taken out of context, creating an entirely unique and slightly unexpected aesthetic.
The collection features odd combinations of fabrics and textures, which traditionally work against each other. Pieces in the collection have been cut intentionally to give the impression of a previous owner, with exaggerated silhouettes and shapes.
